About Paul
Now based in east London, I took my PhD. in Classics from the University of Cambridge in 2017, having completed my BA (Hons.) and MPhil. at the University of Sydney. I've taught ancient Greek language, culture and history to undergraduates, secondary school students and adult learners at the University of Sydney (2009-11), University of Cambridge (2014-17), and University College Cork (2017).

Hello!
If you've found your way here, you're interested in ancient Greek - good for you! Whether you're starting from scratch, trying to lift your grades or dusting off the old books, I've got you covered.
Whether you're a primary or secondary school student, undergraduate or postgraduate, we can work with the set texts and textbook(s) you use at school or university to help you master Greek. We can also move beyond the curriculum, and read new texts to extend your understanding and appreciation for Greek and the culture surrounding it.
Our sessions will last for 1 hour, and I'll come to you. Beyond that, I'm very flexible about what form our lessons take. In our first session we'll determine your current level of proficiency, discuss your goals, and set a plan for reaching them.
Whatever level you're at right now, however basic or advanced, I can help you improve your understanding, your marks, and perhaps most importantly your appreciation for ancient Greek.
