About Lane
I am currently an astrophysics major at CU Boulder with one class left. I have been tutoring mostly mathematics (but some physics) for roughly 5 years now, with companies such as High Performance Tutoring and Mathnasium. Tutoring is my passion--I always love to see that light bulb turn on in a student's head after learning a difficult subject!

I prefer to first determine the "goals" to strive for in a given session: these are the problems and topics that we will need to go over and have the student understand by the end of the session. Next, I like to dive right in and teach topics one step at a time; this way, it is easy to determine what I must focus on with the student if he/she reaches a roadblock at one of these steps. Taking things one step at a time also provides a simpler approach to some subjects/topics that students can find overwhelming.
