About Edward
I'm currently tutoring mathematics at Austin Learning Center which is a K-12 all subjects tutoring center based in Austin Tx. I teach students from middle school to high school. I previously taught at Mathnasium which is a math curriculum based learning center franchise. I also have experience tutoring math in high school and college.
Musically, I have been playing guitar and piano for over a decade. I've played in numerous bands and created a large catalog of original music! I'm open to teaching music, songwriting, guitar lessons as well!

I'm a 25 year old entrepreneur fresh out of the financial world and looking to make a switch to education. I have experience teaching middle school to high school math, but I'm also hoping to teach music as well! I recognize everyone learns differently, at various speeds and methods. I'm very friendly and sociable so I aim to get to know a student and build a relation to provide a catered teaching method. When explaining a new concept, I make sure the student is comfortable asking questions and comments while I'm lecturing. Then, I'll have the student work several problems talking their way through it. I'll determine if the student needs reinforcement and practice or a different approach to learning the material. If the latter is the case, I'm very patient explaining the material in as many different ways needed until a method clicks for the student. Everyone is unique and I strive to have a strong relationship with my students so I can provide the best fitted tutoring.
