About Johann
Hey!! I'm Johann, and I graduated with a GPA of 6.7 (Distinction+) at the University of Sydney's Bachelor of Medical Science degree. For me, things make so much more sense when there's a diagram and fewer sentences that I can follow. I have a short attention span and get bored quickly (thanks TikTok), so I knew the only way to excel was to trick myself into enjoying studying. I learn best from visual aid, and knowing this I ended up cruising through uni with drawings, flash cards, and bullet points - remembering info that strikes an impression in my head. Before all of this I organize lessons into a framework, working my way with a top-down approach - grasping the core principles first and understanding the fine details after. Structuring learning this way has in many cases saved me from mental clutter and feeling overwhelmed, and it especially helps with those who struggle to take the first step and maintain a consistent study routine!

In the first session: • You'll introduce the topics you need to improve on • I'll have a look at your provided material and the learning objectives expected from you • Then I'll create a work plan that tailors the following sessions to fit the minimum scope of required knowledge • From there I'll make sure we can check each learning objective with confidence Depending on the time and material provided, we may work from your resources directly, and by next session, if it calls for it, I'll have some visual diagrams or flashcards prepared.
