About Ashley
I am a current graduate student and I am excited to teach and mentor students at all levels. I have experience teaching undergraduate students, and I have received very high course evaluation ratings every semester (>4.5/5). My passion for inspiring learners helps me excel at teaching, but so does my continuous efforts into my own evolution of teaching through workshops, coursework, and teaching opportunities.

My main teaching methods are learner-centered and are usually active learning. A typical lesson plan includes a brief review of prior material, a real-world example/problem, and the new content and how everything relates to each other. I am very passionate about teaching and imparting my knowledge to others, but also helping learners discover new concepts and ideas, and making connections. These lessons are geared toward AP Biology students and undergraduate students. My main focus is in biology with focuses in genetics, cellular biology, molecular biology, and microbiology. However, I can also help with introductory chemistry. Due to my broad range of knowledge, I can also help connect ideas between disciplines.
