About Glen
My fascination with life sciences started with curiosity about cells, organisms, and ecological relationships. I earned a B.Sc in Biotechnology and an M.Sc in Cellular Biology, gaining expertise in genetics, molecular processes, and laboratory research. Over 11 years of teaching, I have guided learners of varying abilities, helping them move from confusion to clarity while developing deep conceptual understanding and scientific reasoning.
I believe effective biology education combines exploration, discussion, and practical application. Many students struggle with memorization or abstract concepts, so I incorporate interactive exercises, real-world examples, and analytical problem-solving to make lessons meaningful and engaging. Each session is tailored to the student’s pace, learning style, and goals, fostering both competence and confidence.
Outside teaching, I engage with biological research, community education, and scientific innovation. Teaching biology is deeply rewarding because I witness students develop curiosity, analytical skills, and a profound appreciation for the natural world. Helping learners become confident, knowledgeable, and passionate scientists is the most fulfilling part of my career.

Biology becomes deeply engaging when students can see the interconnectedness of life at molecular, organismal, and ecosystem levels. My lessons explore cellular mechanisms, genetics, physiology, ecology, evolution, and microbiology, integrating modern research insights and hands-on activities. I focus on developing conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and observational skills. Lessons incorporate interactive diagrams, real-world case studies, problem-solving exercises, and guided discussions, helping students connect theoretical knowledge with practical scenarios and everyday life. Each session emphasizes curiosity, analysis, and a systematic approach to understanding complex biological systems.
For more advanced learners, I introduce genetic engineering techniques, bioinformatics tools, molecular signaling pathways, and ecological modeling. Lessons emphasize problem-solving, experimental design, data interpretation, and hypothesis-driven inquiry. Stepwise guidance, scaffolded exercises, and iterative feedback help learners build confidence, independence, and mastery.
