About Sandile
I currently possess a BSc Honours degree in biochemistry, and I am finishing up with my master's degree in biotechnology (dissertation and manuscripts under review). I have worked as part-time biochemistry, microbiology and food technology lecturer and tutor at the Durban University of Technology from 2015 to 2021. I have never achieved a pass rate lower than 80% for all the classes I have lectured and tutored. I have also worked as a natural sciences and life sciences teacher.

My teaching method is always student-centred and seeks to elicit the student's understanding of the scientific concepts by relating them to everyday things that the students are familiar with. It has been my experience that students tend to grasp concepts when they are made aware of their real-life applications.
