About Emily
I had been a high school Spanish tutor for 3 years, and unofficially an English teacher to coworkers, friends, family, and strangers for 8 years. I believe teachers need to customize their teaching methods based on the student—everyone learns differently! I don't believe in punishment or putting someone down. People want to learn a language for a reason, they should never dread coming to class because it's stressful. I have education in patient care, but in doing so, it has taught me how to teach people through all walks of life, even though the subject isn't learning English.

I know learning languages is difficult for many people; I have learned Spanish and a bit of French, and currently I am focusing on Portuguese.
