About Isabella
I am a junior in chemical engineering at Brown University in Providence, RI. As part of my major, science and math are at the core of my curriculum. I have worked in private tutoring for individuals and in group instruction at Kumon. My students have improved math grades, achieved new levels, and acquired strong skills for continued learning.

As a tutor, I like to base my instruction on the student's abilities and needs. Some students are more conducive to being verbally led to their goals and are good at understanding pathways, while others respond more to visual cues and instruction. Having worked at Kumon, where learning is highly independent and student-led, my approach is largely based on the idea that the ultimate goal in tutoring is to no longer need tutoring. As such, I like to teach students skills that they can apply in all their endeavors.
