About Ollie
I have taught only a handful of GCSE and AS-Level Mathematics and Chemistry students over the past two years, and have a healthy record of my students achieving a minimum final grade of A. Hi! My name is Ollie and I am currently an undergraduate in Chemical Engineering student at UCL. I know exactly what it's like to feel lost in science and mathematics lessons, feeling you lack understanding of the basic foundations that your work is based on, and will never catch up and fulfil your potential or academic targets. During my GCSE journey I was achieving Cs and Ds in my mocks, feeling lost in lessons, low in confidence and my teachers's methods didn't help at all. However, from my self-inspired revision techniques I achieved straight A grades in 11 GCSEs including maths and triple science, and then 3 As in A-Level Maths, Chemistry and Biology when I was predicted BBC grades by my sixth-form.
I believe that through the right teaching, anyone can appreciate the simplicity of a science subject and achieve the highest grades, no matter what set you have been put in at school or what targets were given to you. I hope to pass on my learning techniques to you in mathematics and chemistry by slowly going through the basics and building from there at our own pace. From this we will discover how logical and surprisingly easy the subject is and realise that through the power of your human brain you can understand every detail on the syllabus, something that is impossible in other subjects.
