About Denise
My name is Denise Ockey. I have a Ph.D. In Organic Chemistry from U.C. Davis. I have been tutoring chemistry, math, and other subjects for 20+ years. It makes me feel good when I can help students and see their reaction when they finally understand.

I provide an online tutoring experience that is very interactive. I utilize both Zoom and Whiteboard, and I guide students through the problem-solving process. Chemistry and math require the student to apply what they have learned to problems on exams. I teach students how to approach problems and become successful on exams.
I tutor both high school and college level students. I am unique in my approach because I work with them an go the extra distance to ensure they understand the material
Additionally, I allow my students to contact me outside of the normal sessions if they are stuck on a problem. I sdo this free of charge because I believe that no student should be unable to do their work. No other tutor will offer this as an additional service. You may contact me at (concealed information)
