About Nedelina

Nedelina has worked as a teacher for the past 11 years, teaching in primary and secondary schools in the UK as a visiting music teacher, as well as providing private instrumental music lessons. During this time, she has worked with students from the age of 3 onwards, engaging them in a wide range of activities and games while also following each school’s academic curriculum. Working with children of different ages and abilities has taught her the importance of adapting her approach to suit each individual learner, while also creating an environment in which they feel encouraged, supported and confident to participate. Many of her students have had the opportunity to perform in concerts and other musical events, as well as successfully complete music examinations, including Trinity College London examinations and GCSE Music assessments.

Nedelina Zheleva is also a classical guitar performer and creator. She is passionate about presenting a new musical view through her music, making the audience experience sound on a sublime level. Through presenting unusual, new or less played classical guitar pieces, she hopes to expand and develop the guitar repertoire.

About the lesson

Nedelina enjoys using creative activities, games and practical approaches to encourage curiosity and participation, while recognising that every student learns differently. Her background in music performance has particularly helped her develop a creative and flexible approach to teaching, allowing her to use rhythm, movement, sound and other engaging activities to capture each student’s attention and make learning enjoyable. She is patient and approachable, and she understands the importance of providing encouragement while also establishing clear expectations and maintaining a positive learning environment. Nedelina recognises the importance of safeguarding and creating a safe and inclusive environment in which children can learn and develop. She holds an up-to-date DBS certificate.
