About Ellie
As part of a clinical-stage research lab, I currently research how certain rare skin diseases can be treated through the manipulation of the skin's existing microbiome. I also research how certain bacteria infect host cells, including the proteins and cellular machinery involved. I'm passionate about science and biology, I have three years of research experience, and I'm currently working my way through a molecular biology degree, so as a learner like you, I'll be able to better see from your perspective to help you learn as a student!

I study eukaryotic and prokaryotic cell mechanics as well as clinical microbiology as a clinical researcher. As such, I am well-versed in high school level general biology, AP Biology, introductory college level biology, college level cell biology, and college level microbiology. A typical lesson will start off with reviewing content areas or concepts you may struggle with, and then reviewing those concepts through diagrams. Don't worry - we can go through it as much as you like! I know how hard biology can be.
