About Marco
I am a permanent research mathematician at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), based in Strasbourg, France. I hold an Habilitation à diriger des recherches and have published internationally in arithmetic geometry, algebraic geometry, and number theory. I have taught university algebra, supervised advanced students, and worked with students from a range of mathematical backgrounds. I enjoy sharing the way mathematicians think: starting from clear foundations and gradually developing the abstraction, intuition, and technical confidence needed for genuinely advanced mathematics. I teach in English, French, and Italian.

My lessons are personalised, rigorous, and interactive. We begin with the essential definitions and concrete examples, then gradually move towards abstraction, technical complexity, and independent problem-solving. I use questions and carefully chosen exercises to identify common misconceptions and develop mathematical intuition. Sessions are intended for university students, postgraduate students, and researchers studying algebra, geometry, number theory, and related subjects. We can work on coursework, examinations, PhD qualifying exams, research papers, presentations, or mathematical interviews. All lessons take place online via Zoom.
