About Cassidy
I have been teaching for two years now, with my experience coming from a science outreach center as well as a state university.In science outreach I ran chemistry demonstrations, created new curriculum and lesson plans, as well as taught 30+ students in a given session. I am currently a TA in a general ecology class through a state university. Here we encourage students to come up with their own research projects, do field work, as well as typical lectures.
Through these my experience I am well versed at encouraging students to see the more hands on side of science rather than just memorizing facts. I believe this has given my students the ability to look at the information they are given in a new eye that leaves them asking more.

I am a college graduate with experience in teaching students from pre-k to college level classes in the sciences. My methods of instruction encourages students to create connections in the information learned both in my sessions and past classes. Connecting the information this way encourages students to retain the information more readily and be better prepared for cumulative classes. If possible I incorporate hands on activities outside of lecture to allow students to experience science in the field as well.
