About Josh
I've had a history of education ever since I graduated college. I was a corporate mentor (I taught people how to do their job one-on-one) for a few years before I became a corporate trainer (I taught entire classes, just like a school teacher. But instead of students, I taught people who just got a new job, how to do that job) for 10+ years. Now I'm currently back in school to become a middle school teacher while I work as a substitute for Christina School District in Newark. I enjoy using a casual approach to create an understanding of the material being learned. I tell relative stories to make the subject matter as relatable to the learner as possible. Everyone learns differently and I believe in "making it make sense" which means taking a unique approach, depending on the learners individual needs. I'm here to help with homework, after school help during summer school, or long term tutoring. Positivity and fun go a long way, especially when the learner is stressed or struggling. So let's have some fun and learn something new!
