I am a lifelong lover of mathematics, and I enjoy programming. I was in the math and programming clubs during high school. I also took AP classes in both subjects. I love helping others improve at the subjects I am passionate about.

I try to help students understand topics at an abstract level before introducing many practice problems. I find this approach is better for committing concepts to long-term memory. A major problem I find many students face in math is what I call "missing layers of abstraction". Many students cover certain topics, learning just enough to solve basic problems, but then face many challenges in later grades with more abstract mathematical concepts. My goal is not only to help students do well in their classes but to set them up for long-term success and enjoyment of mathematics.
A typical lesson with me includes a section for understanding the topic abstractly, then increasingly difficult practice problems.
My lessons range from elementary school students to advanced high school students practicing calculus.
