I prefer to create practice questions to determine which areas the student is good at and which they're not too confident in. Once I can pinpoint the areas they're struggling with, I go in-depth trying to explain the how and the why, to make sure the student can understand what's going on and not just memorize it. After that, how well they understood it I can test with more practice questions.
Hello. My name is Matthew. I've been offering 1-on-1 tuition in science and maths subjects since the start of this year. I've always loved science and found it highly interesting and fascinating, so I can inject a lot of energy and love for the subject in my lessons. I have a Bachelors Degree in Biochemistry and Genetics (University of Nottingham) and a Masters in Cancer Cell and Molecular Biology (University of Leicester), as well as A levels in Maths, Physics, Human Biology, and Chemistry.
Perfect! We have found Matthew to be an excellent Tutor.
He identified the areas to be worked on and set about structuring the lessons to compliment the course work and fill the gaps.
The end result has been a better understanding of Biology as a subject and growing confidence as we head into the exams...
