About Tyra
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Marine and Antarctic Science, and have previously studied a Bachelor of Zoology and Ecology. I have a diploma in Languages and Linguistic Enrichment from the University of Queensland, as well as a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills.

I encourage inquiry-based learning in my students, a form of active learning which relies less on dictating the facts and more on example situations, and on real-life events. By putting the question or task in context, the students are better able to grasp the importance of what is being achieved, as well as an understanding of how it came to be.
I believe in creating a supportive and encouraging environment for my students, whether that be in a group setting or in one-on-one tutorials.
