About Maryam
I am a Biomedical Sciences undergraduate at the University of Reading with a strong academic background, AAB at A-Level with 100/100 in AS Maths, and a high achiever in GCSE. Having recently completed these exams myself, I understand the challenges students face and the strategies needed to succeed.
I chose to tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping students gain clarity and confidence in subjects that may initially feel overwhelming. Seeing a student move from confusion to understanding is incredibly rewarding to me. My goal is not only to improve grades but to help students feel capable, motivated, and supported throughout their learning journey.

As a current Biomedical Sciences undergraduate at the University of Reading, with AAB at A-Level and top GCSE grades, I understand both subject content and exam expectations.
My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student.
I begin by identifying areas of weakness, then provide clear step-by-step explanations, followed by guided and independent practice. I focus on building a strong understanding, improving exam technique, and increasing confidence.
Lessons typically last 60–90 minutes and include topic teaching, practice questions, and feedback. I can also set targeted homework if required.
I tutor GCSE and IGCSE students (ages 13–16) in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths. I have experience supporting students to achieve A and A* grades through personalised, focused teaching.
