About Vivek
I am a Data Scientist by training, math geek by heart! I have always been obsessed with not only mathematics, but teaching it to others. I have taught at all levels (Middle school, High school, undergraduate) over the past 10 years. What started as simply a way to make money on the side through college translated into a decade long passion of seeing students have "aha" moments. Even as I transitioned to be a Data Scientist post graduate school, I have always kept my mathematics fundamentals strong. Now through COVID-19 times, I have noticed there is a strong need for students to get guidance through these tough times. Please consider me for you or your child's needs and I can guarantee they will get the "aha" moment they deserve!

My teaching method is methodical, patient, and providing students intuition. I am not one of those tutors that simply solve the problems for the tutee. Rather, I believe in building up confidence so that students can not just "copy-paste" solutions algorithmically, but rather gain a deeper understanding of concepts. Not only have ALL my students scored higher on exams, but they come out frankly more confident about general STEM!
