About Silas
I’m an experienced Math tutor with more than 9 years of helping students tackle complex mathematical challenges. My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science. This training strengthened my skills in logical reasoning and deep problem analysis. Mathematics becomes exciting when we treat it like a puzzle waiting to be solved.
I have extensive experience directing mathematical problem-solving workshops. These sessions teach students how to approach unfamiliar questions with creativity and discipline. I also coach students preparing for competitive mathematics contests. Such challenges demand both insight and persistence.
Number theory is one of my greatest passions. It offers endless opportunities for clever reasoning and elegant solutions. Much of my work involves mentoring gifted students and aspiring mathematicians. Together we explore advanced strategies and refine analytical thinking. My approach to teaching mathematics focuses on clarity, structure, and practical understanding. Large problems can feel overwhelming, so I guide students to break them into smaller steps. This helps them stay organized and confident. Learning becomes more manageable.
