About Elliott
Elliott Blackhurst is a music educator and dynamic
saxophonist based in State College, Pennsylvania. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music Education degree at Pennsylvania State University, where he studies under Dr. David Stambler. In addition to the saxophone, Elliott is
proficient in clarinet, flute, trumpet, and voice.
During his time at Penn State, Elliott has performed with the university’s premier ensembles, including the
Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the Centre Dimensions jazz ensemble, and the Penn State Blue Band. He also performs
with the local Crooner & Co. Swing Band and various pit orchestras throughout the region.
Elliott has been teaching private lessons, both in person and online, for nearly five years. He has worked with students of all ages on saxophone, clarinet, and voice across all genres, with a primary focus on jazz and classical music.
