About Zina
I am a CA credentialed teacher and have worked in the education industry for about 10 years. I have formally worked as an educator for 3 and a half years in the public school system. My husband and I are expecting our first child in April so I am taking a break from teaching while tutoring children in my neighborhood. I love teaching and helping others learn! I graduated with a bachelors in Child Development from California State University of Sacramento in 2013 and obtained my multiple subject teaching credential in 2015.

I prefer teaching one on one because the student success rate tends to be higher and I can focus 100% on my student. I believe in the, "I do, we do, you do" teaching strategy so that students aren't just being lectured but also given time to practice on their own with support and utilize the information they've just been taught to retain it for a long period of time. I believe students learn by doing and as an educator I want to be there to help support them when needed, but not do the work for them.
