About Patrick
- I have been teaching English for speakers of other languages for about 40 years
- I have worked in schools, colleges and universities and in language centres
- I have taught students of all ability levels and of all ages
- I was an IELTS speaking and writing examiner for many years
- I hold the DELTA (Diploma of English Language Teaching for Adults) from Cambridge Examinations
- I have extensive experience of class teaching and individual tuition at every level, both face to face and online.

About the lesson

All languages in which the lesson is available :
English
- Everything begins with pronunciation and vocabulary.
- Then an interesting stimulus
- A picture, a short video, listening to people talking, reading, doing a quiz
- Any or all of these
- When we have understood these, we focus on the language point we are learning: vocabulary, grammar or other
- Then we do exercises together, practising this point
- Finally the student is able to 'perform': to use this language point in a language task.
