About Buddleia
I have an English Literature degree from the University of East Anglia and have experience tutoring GCSE English and English Literature. I focused on Medieval literature in my degree and am happy to help students with Middle English and early-modern texts. I have also taught ceramics and led violin lessons.
I have A levels in English Literature (A*), History (A*), Classics (A), and Spanish (A).

I offer lessons in English (literature and language) and history from GCSE to degree level. I also help with history and classics coursework.
I was home-educated up until sixth-form and as a result learnt the importance of independent study. I am here to facilitate pupils' learning so that they are equipped with the tools to make their own discoveries. Supplying pupils with knowledge and study skills will ensure that they can face new academic challenges with confidence. I know from experience that learning how to structure an essay transformed my academic success.
I understand that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to this, and the beauty of private tutoring is that I can tailor each lesson according to each student's skills, interests, and needs. I like to be creative with my lesson plans and offer students a chance to be creative with their learning.
I am a trained actor and love to add some theatricality to my lessons. Reading aloud is a lovely way to enjoy the musicality of language and can bring a text to life.
