About Sophie
I am a passionate Primary School Teacher who loves making a difference to children's lives. I strive to support children in becoming confident, enthusiastic and motivated individuals who enjoy learning and believe they can achieve anything they put their mind to. I believe this is essential to ensure progress and success. Equally I strive to make learning fun, enjoyable and varied. We are so much more likely to achieve if we enjoy a topic/ subject that we are being taught. Therefore I always work with students to discover how they personally learn best.

I use an active, multi-sensory approach to teaching, which uses a variety of teaching approaches. This varies depending on the child, how they learn best and their personal preference of how they enjoy learning. Teaching is tailored to the child's individual needs and is constantly adapted to meet children's current and emerging needs.
Typical lessons last 20 minutes to 1 hour. I believe little and often is important. My lessons are for any children who are JK-6.
I am a qualified primary School teacher from England with experience teaching all grades within the primary school age bracket. I have taught at a range of schools in Melbourne and completed a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TSOL) qualification before coming to Australia.
