About Richard
I am a classroom teacher with seven years experience teaching secondary English and language arts courses. I have taught all levels of English from 6th-12th, from intensive reading to AP Composition and Language. I have also tutored for the ACT/SAT/GRE. I received a Master's in Secondary Education in 2013 and a Master's in Creative Writing, Nonfiction in 2018.

I am an experienced teacher with background in teaching English language learners using scaffolding and differentiation of instruction with experience in class sizes from three students up to 36 in a period. I allow flexibility on assignments, alternative assessments, and the ability to redo assignments in order to allow students to show mastery later within the unit.
