About Gabrielle
I am a Mentor in a secondary school. I give Advice to my students to best support them with any concerns both personal or around school. A part of my job is not only to listen but also to provide an element of motivation so students can thrive to be the best versions of themselves. I sometimes create revision plans to help students get back on track to pass their exams so they fulfil their desired job routes.

Every person has a preferred method of study. Whether it be visual learning, independent or group. I believe the key to studying effectively is to revise in moderation. My strategy is 20/20/20. In one hour a student will have efficiently learned and or revised, with the incentive of earning a 20 minute break. After this break they will then recommence their subject. You find that if you do this twice, most students retain information they’ve explored over the collective hour and 20 minutes of learning, in comparison to the pressure of staring at a text book for that same period of time without intervals.
I love to make learning enjoyable for both myself and others. Some of my methods will include personal written assessments; 1) to engage with the student and best understand them 2) to practice their punctuation and grammar skills.
I enjoy setting weekly goals that we can review by the next session and with society becoming more technologically advanced, I enjoy incorporating that into learning plans. For example; we can do both written tests and online.
