About Shreya
Hi!
My name is Shreya and I am an Honours Computer Science student minoring in Biology at Carleton University. During high school, I consistently made the honour roll standing, showcasing my dedication to academics!
I offer tutoring in STEM subjects like math and science, but also subjects like English and/or electives!
I have previous tutoring experience with Quarantutors, where I offered one on one academic tutoring and support for elementary students. As an older sister, I also regularly help my younger sibling with homework!

As someone with previous tutoring experience, I am very patient and considerate with my students. I have consistently received positive feedback from previous students.
I use different techniques such as active recall, consistent practice as well as online tools to help consolidate information.
I adjust my lesson plan based on the student's needs. But I typically offer extra lessons on the topics they are currently learning in school.
I am good at teaching concepts and explaining challenging material in a manner that is easy to understand.
A typical lesson plan involves:
1. Understand where the student is in the curriculum and how they feel about the current topics.
2. Clear explanation of concepts using relevant examples
3. Practice exercises tailored to the student's level, with feedback provided
4. Homework assignments to solidify understanding and prepare for future lessons (not always though!)
What sets me apart from other tutors is my willingness to understand my students so that I can best support them. By understanding their unique way of learning, I use that to help them grasp concepts better.
My lessons are suitable for elementary and middle school students seeking assistance with math, science, and other subjects. Whether preparing for exams, catching up on missed concepts, or aiming for advanced understanding, I strive to support each student's unique educational journey.
I genuinely care about my students' success and will do everything I can to help them reach their full potential in academics!
