I adopt a holistic teaching approach in which a firm foundation in basic conceptual understanding leads the way into more challenging applications and extension problems. My system of teaching encompasses concept consolidation, revision for school tests and final exams and accelerated learning (which I highly recommend for mathematics and the sciences). Having received no tutoring for my IB subjects, on one hand I was able to develop an in-depth understanding of each of my subjects, but also made mistakes along the way - things that I wished I knew earlier on in my IB journey.
Concept consolidation: ability to adapt instruction to your level, detailed study notes for all units of study, as well as efficient study informed by patterns in past papers.
Non-structured 1-on-1 help: bring in difficult questions, school tests etc. and discuss course of action.
IA/EE/TOK/Oral drafting + help: minimise stress and time spent on IAs to maximise effort in exam study. Drafting service includes detailed feedback and free 45 minute lesson to further discuss. Please contact for pricing.
Exam revision: 20+ years worth of past papers which I have adapted myself to match all curricula changes, amounting to approximately 10,000 questions.
Subject selection (for pre-IB): informed and sensible subject selection based on goal uni course, personal preference, subject difficulty, personal strengths and weaknesses.
For non-IB students: I offer tutoring for Maths, English, General Science and Humanities at a Year 1-10 level. I have had success in the past also preparing primary school students for scholarship exams (primary/secondary entry), NAPLAN and various competitions (ICAS, Australian Geography Competition, Australian History Competition).
