About Kanwaldeep
I am an experienced tutor in biology, biochemistry, and microbiology, holding a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from McMaster University and a Mini MBA in Management from GMCA, McMaster University.
As a Post-doctoral Researcher and Ph.D. Candidate at McMaster University, I have conducted research on bone-marrow microenvironment, cellular metabolism in Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), and metabolic pathways in human obesity. I have mentored undergraduate students in various laboratory techniques and have been an teaching assistant in the Department of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at McMaster University.
I have won several awards and honors, including the Graduate Program Excellence Award from McMaster University and the University Medal for 1st position in M.Sc. (Honors) from Panjab University.
I am committed to community outreach initiatives such as StemCellTalks, and always try to inspire confidence in my students with my dedication to the field.

As a biology tutor, my approach is to first assess the student's current level of understanding and identify areas of weakness. From there, I tailor my lessons to address those areas, using a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. I also aim to foster a love of science by relating biological concepts to real-life situations and encouraging curiosity and inquiry. Finally, I regularly assess the student's progress to ensure that we are making tangible improvements towards their goals.
