About Omolola
I am an experienced Mathematics tutor with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Ahmadu Bello University. I have been teaching since 2016 and have worked professionally as a private tutor since 2019.
Over the years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds and educational systems, including Nigerian, British, Cambridge, and American curricula. My experience includes Mathematics tutoring, examination preparation, and supporting students who need to strengthen their foundations or develop greater confidence in the subject.
What I enjoy most about teaching Mathematics is helping students discover that a subject they once found difficult can actually become understandable. I am patient and approachable, and I create an environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and take the time they need to understand.
I don't believe that struggling with Mathematics means a student is incapable of learning it. Often, students simply need an explanation that connects with the way they think and learn. I take the time to understand where each student is starting from and work with them from there.
My goal is not only to help students get better grades, but to help them develop the understanding, reasoning skills, and confidence they can carry into their future studies.

My approach to teaching Mathematics is centered on understanding rather than memorization. I want students to understand not only how to get an answer, but why the method works and how to recognize when to use it.
I break difficult mathematical ideas into simple, manageable steps and use examples, visual explanations, analogies, and guided questions to make abstract concepts easier to understand. Instead of simply giving students solutions, I guide them through the reasoning process and encourage them to think through problems themselves. This helps build both mathematical ability and confidence.
I adapt each lesson to the student's current level, learning pace, strengths, and areas of difficulty. Whether a student is struggling with the fundamentals, trying to improve their grades, preparing for an examination, or working toward a more advanced level, I tailor the lesson to their specific needs.
Lessons are interactive and intentional, with a balance of explanation, guided practice, problem-solving, and checking for understanding. A typical lesson is 60 minutes.
I have taught Mathematics to students across secondary and university foundation levels and have experience preparing students for WAEC, NECO, IGCSE, A Level, SAT, PSAT, and other school examinations.
My lessons are particularly suited to secondary school students, examination candidates, and university foundation-level students who want to strengthen their mathematical understanding and become more confident problem-solvers.
