Hi, I’m Shayan, a patient and committed math tutor who believes every student can succeed with the right guidance. My approach focuses on clarity, patience, and building lasting confidence in problem-solving.
I start by identifying each student’s strengths and learning gaps, then tailor my explanations to their pace and style. I often use step-by-step examples, visuals, and real-world applications to make abstract concepts feel approachable and logical.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by guided practice on new concepts. I encourage students to explain their reasoning aloud, this helps me catch misunderstandings early and reinforce their critical thinking. We wrap up each session with targeted practice and a short reflection on progress and next steps.
What sets me apart is my ability to simplify complex ideas and connect with students who may feel anxious or discouraged about math. I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, from middle school to college, including underrepresented and first-generation students. My goal is to help every student strengthen their foundation, boost confidence, and genuinely appreciate mathematics.
My lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, and college students seeking support in:
- Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus
- AP Calculus / College Calculus
- Study skills, exam prep, and problem-solving confidence
