About SHAFIA NAJAT HOQUE
I am Shafia Najat Hoque, currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). I was born and raised in Bangladesh, where I built a strong academic foundation and developed a deep interest in Mathematics from the very beginning of my education.
Mathematics has always been one of my strongest and most enjoyable subjects, and I have continued to study and apply it throughout my academic journey, from school level to advanced engineering mathematics at university. This long-term exposure has helped me develop both a solid understanding of core concepts and the ability to explain them in a clear and simple way.
I am passionate about helping students overcome difficulties in Mathematics and gain confidence in their problem-solving abilities. I aim to create a supportive and structured learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving step by step.

I provide online Mathematics tutoring via Zoom for school-level and foundation-level students who want to build strong understanding, improve grades, and gain confidence in problem-solving.
My teaching approach is simple, structured, and student-focused. I begin by identifying the student’s weak areas, then break down each topic into easy-to-understand steps. Instead of memorising formulas, I help students understand why methods work, using clear explanations, guided examples, and step-by-step problem solving. I also include regular practice questions and instant feedback to ensure the student truly understands each concept before moving forward.
Each lesson typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s needs and concentration level. A usual session includes quick revision of previous topics, explanation of a new concept, worked examples, interactive problem solving, and targeted practice to strengthen understanding.
I am a Mechanical Engineering student at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) with a strong academic background in mathematics from basic schooling up to advanced university-level engineering mathematics. Having studied math continuously for many years, I am able to explain both fundamental and higher-level concepts in a simple and relatable way.
My lessons are ideal for primary, secondary, and foundation students who need help in Mathematics—whether to catch up, improve exam performance, or build a strong base for future studies.
