About Miles
My name is Miles Churchland, and I am a senior computer science student at Reed College. My work focuses on Python, algorithms, machine learning, and computational neuroscience, with experience in both research and production software development.
I have used Python extensively in academic research, backend engineering, machine learning pipelines, and freelance software projects. I have also tutored computer science and mathematics since 2021, helping students understand programming, algorithms, data structures, and machine learning concepts.
I understand how to explain technical ideas clearly, build engaging examples, and design problems that help students develop real programming ability instead of just memorizing syntax. I would be excited to help students learn Python in a practical, structured, and approachable way.
