About Annalisa
Hi! I’m a fourth-year medical student with a Master of Medical Science degree and a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida.
I have been tutoring for four years in various subjects, including anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and biochemistry, among other STEM courses. I have taught many grade levels from middle school through medical school.
Here are a few things my students have said about their experience with me!
- "TY you so much for helping my daughter! She feels like a huge weight has been lifted!" (Subject: A&P 1 and 2, college sophomore)
- "Thank you so much for everything this semester! I’m super happy :)" (Subject: Anatomy 1, college freshman)
- "I could not have passed without your help. I thought I was going to have to retake this class but I passed!" (Subject: Biochemistry 1, college junior)
- "You are seriously the best. Thank you for taking your time to break things down." (Subject: High school anatomy)
Throughout my academic journey, I’ve developed a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and the biomedical sciences, along with a genuine passion for helping others learn. I understand how overwhelming complex scientific concepts can feel, and I believe that the key to academic success is developing a thorough understanding of the material rather than relying solely on memorization.
My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and individualized to each student’s learning style, academic background, and goals. I enjoy breaking down challenging topics into manageable concepts, helping students make connections between what they are learning and how it applies in the real world.
Whether you're looking to strengthen your foundational knowledge, prepare for an upcoming exam, or build confidence in a challenging course, my goal is to create a supportive learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and can develop the skills necessary for long-term academic success!

Lesson plans are tailored to each student’s individual curriculum and learning needs, with an emphasis on developing a strong understanding of fundamental concepts rather than simply memorizing information. My goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen critical thinking skills, and develop effective study strategies that promote long-term retention and academic success.
