About Sean
Having received my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Food Science and a Doctorate in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Florida and currently serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Viticulture program at the University of California, Davis, a love of the science behind the food we eat everyday has been a driving force of my educational path. As a student I taught multiple college courses at the University of Florida, completed the University of Florida First Year Faculty Teaching Academy (FYFTA), spent time speaking about my work on three continents, brought in $14,000 in scholarships and awards, and loved every aspect of it.

Education is not always a straight road, and can often be confusing and hard to navigate. As a tutor it's my hope that I can share my passion as we navigate your path and help you become the student you want to be.
As a student I always loved teaching and would volunteer for any opportunities available, from teaching courses to working hands-on with younger students.
Over the course of completing my Masters Degree in Food Science and my Doctorate in Environmental Horticulture with the University of Florida, I am current on all of the related coursework while also having taught multiple courses and having completed the University of Florida First Year Faculty Teaching Academy (FYFTA), which is required for all new university instructors.

I really enjoyed learning from Sean, he helped me develop a better understanding about the research field and what goes into it. I felt respected when I worked with him and he was incredibly helpful, not just because of his ability to deliver information about topics, but also because he was easy to work with. A great mentor!
