About David

Math and Science are the universal languages of our universe. Now, as well as 30 years from now,, science and math will still be prevalent. I love mathematics and science because it's predictable, and you know what you're going to get, given a process to get there. I understand there is a huge gap between people who love analytical subjects and people who don't. I'm willing to help with you on your journey into understanding various subjects related to these spaces. I am striving to be a physical therapist and although the career I've chosen does not have much to do with science or math, I think it's important to see that I have a genuine interest in helping others. I love helping others, I have immense gratification out of seeing others improve. I feel as though, I've been tutoring my whole life. From a young age, in 5th grade I've been exceptionally good at math and science, I always felt the need to help others around be able to do the same. In high school, I would always find myself taking away from my lunch breaks to help others in need of math and science subjects. I have two letters of recommendation from two math professors. One of them are from the director of mathematics for my high school, the other from the president of an honors society, which just so happens to be a college algebra professor as well. I dont't believe in certificates for tutoring because, it does not show that you know or are any more passionate than some one else. I hope that you have an awesome experience with me. As I am tutoring, I will keep prices below what I'm worth until I gather a consumer clientele.

How will I help you achieve your goals: This is what you really want to know. I will first ask you what is the direct problem as to what subject of math you are facing. I will then, give you a detailed breakdown of whatever you missed. Next, I can make some practice problems up and then, expect you to answer them for me. If you have any additional issues, I would be more than glad to address them for you. I will be extremely patient and will assist you throughout any problems.

I love being able to provide a service and watch another person blossom like a flower. For this reason, I chose physical therapy as a career. Physical Therapy is one of those careers that allow seeing a person from start to finish. Of course, the patient needs a lot of care, a lot of training and a lot of explaining, with that takes patience and compassion. You need a lot of patience and compassion for this field. If you're an impatient person that can't take time with a patient then this field is NOT for you.

I always had a passion for helping people and seeing others thrive. When I realized I was better than most at math and it became apparent to me what I wanted to do. I want to help others achieve that same level of problem-solving success as I've had. I love helping people, as a result teaching was natural.

Since I am going to school to become a physical therapist, one of the first things we are taught is to always be compassionate, patient and understanding. But before any of that goes into play, I have to make sure that what you're doing is fun or at least enjoyable. I know not everyone enjoys problem-solving or math in general, but if you could leave out of here with a sense of achievement and a sense that you've earned something today that you did not know before that's plenty. Remember, we are not looking for perfection, but we can be better than we were last time.

A typical process goes as follows:

1. I will greet you and ask about what problem, in particular, is bothering you.

2. From there, I will explain the dilemma and show you the correct answer, backtrack, and break down how I arrived at that answer.

3. I want to make sure I'm giving you plenty of practice problems and make sure you understand what is being taught. Please leave me being completely sure of what I'm talking about.

4. Review what we've talked about if you want, and this would be the time for any last questions you would need to ask me.

I've worked with students of all ages, but as of recent, I've only worked with college and high school students. I hope my age group does not discourage you. I promise that I will make whatever adjustments necessary for your success.

If you are not interested in picking me as a tutor, I understand. Although if I were picking a tutor, what I wouldn't take is a person who says they have 40+ years of experience in something while having reviews that say that they suck at their profession. Ideally, you would want somebody with lots of experience and lots of positive reviews, however, with credentials like that, do not expect their services for cheap. Instead, go for someone with 1-2 years of experience and positive reviews. The person with less experience won't be able to charge much (saving you money), and you'll still be guaranteed a great service as per the positive reviews. I hope this helps!

I have completed my BLS Certificate or otherwise called my CPR Certificate. I am happy as it allows me to help someone in urgent need of respiratory assistance.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
WHat problem gives me the most trouble?

What additional material should I bring to this meetup, i.e., a textbook, calculator, and class.?

Am I ready to learn?
