About Jairo
As an educator for the past 10 years, I make it my goal to make sure my student's are left with a stronger foundation in their education by detecting trouble spots and filling in gaps in their knowledge. My teaching styles and material vary based on the student's learning styles and are catered towards strengthening their weaknesses.
Seeing the improvement in students' knowledge and grades in school is the most enjoyable part of tutoring.
At my high school, there was a tutoring club for Mathematics, which I was part of for 4 years. Afterwards, I became a music instructor for the next 4 years. Then, I began my position as a private tutor which I have been doing for 4 years. Afterwards, I started student teaching and earned my teaching credential in 2022.
Most recently, I earned a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Mathematics and have taught in the public school system for a couple of months in Grades 6-12. I have also been a tutor for about 10 years. 5 years in a high school environment as a student tutor, 4 years as a music instructor for local marching bands, 2 years as a private tutor, and 1 year at a tutoring center.

The process begins with getting to know the student and having them become comfortable with the idea of a tutor being present and with the fact that I'm here to help them. Afterwards, I assess the student's knowledge and understanding of the material, noting what areas they tend to not be so confident in.
Students from K-12.
I believe students like challenges and have several curiosities, so they should focus on finding someone who sees those challenges as opportunities instead.
