It was a real honour and pleasure to be tutored by Jayasurya sir. He provided the structure and discipline required to understand and, in fact, appreciate the subject of Mathematics, among many things. For a student who was not very keen on the subject, he was a pillar of wisdom and guidance. "There is always a method to madness", and true enough, there is always a logic to the concepts in Math. Jayasurya sir did an impeccable job of helping me see and understand that, and for that, I'm ever greatful to him.

It was in 2019, when I was in Class 11 that I was searching for a maths tutor when I came across the profile of Mr. Jayasurya Venugopalan on Urban Pro. On going through his profile, I immediately felt that I would surely gain immense knowledge. I also received a brief introduction of himself from his side. Then I had a demo class through Zoom Meeting Platform, which was very interesting as it was the first time I was learning online. I then enrolled myself for maths classes, twice a week, following the syllabus of CBSE and JEE. Sir had taken classes virtually and with complete dedication. I would also diligently attend the classes. Sir also emphasized on finding answers through different methods rather than just the conventional ways. This was very much important for a competitive exam and that was what I got. Sir would also conduct periodic tests for different topics for a fixed duration to test my speed of problem solving and concept clearance, which helped me a lot with my tests and exams. I also gained in-depth knowledge of the subject and moreover, of each topic. Sir would explain the concept until I was clear with it. Sir would also prepare documents of Chapterwise Questions asked in JEE in the previous years for the student to solve and get an idea of how important the chapter is. Sir would also encourage me to study a topic deeply until I became confident in it. He would never discourage me. He also encouraged me to stay consistent in studies and do hard work and never worry about the result. In 2020, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, when schools also switched to online mode and classes were clashing, sir would never hesitate to change timings of my classes and would schedule accordingly.He would also reschedule the class in case I could not attend. He would help me in managing both school and tuition very well by telling me to divide my tasks. Sir would also give some useful information about other subjects of which he has good knowledge and would encourage me to look into the subject if I had interest, which was very nice. Throughout these two years of my 11th and 12th Standard, Sir has helped me a lot in gaining knowledge of the subject very well and I have also learnt each topic clearly which helped me not just in maths but also in other subjects. Apart from this, sir has also taught how to remain concentrated in studies whatever the situation may be in your surroundings. I would like to recommend taking classes from sir if you want to score really well in your competitive exams and other exams.
