About Nicholas
I am an extremely patient, flexible and knowledgeable instructor working with students, one-on-one, from Junior High School, through Graduate school, adult learners and industry professionals. Students of all ages do recognize their struggles, and empathy and a lot of “Good Job” encouragement generates the confidence needed to build on small successes. I use repetition and application of concepts to verify concepts have been properly learned. I also bring a sense of humor to the rigors and struggles of learning and make working with a tutor less judgmental and more pleasant.

I enjoy motivating my students to build on their successes, and as the parent of three children, through college now, I have learned the power of encouragement and motivation is crucial to the learning process. As an academically very poor student throughout High School, graduating at the bottom 20% of my class, it was the encouragement and confidence of a single dedicated teacher that lead me to believe in myself and ultimately graduate from the University of Chicago, with honors. I love sharing that story as proof that “if-I-can-do-it-you-can-do-it” really exists. Every time a student has an “Aha!” moment, I try to provide the encouragement and motivation that was so influential in my life.

Excellent tutor.
Nick always came prepared, fought in multiple different facets when I wasn’t understanding the material and helped me not only succeed in the class but also achieve a greater understand of derivatives. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a tutor. Best I’ve experienced so far. Please use him if you are struggling at all.Patient! Makes sure that the kids don’t leave not just understanding the materials but having mastering it! Great coach both motivating and inspirational to these kids!
Nick has been a wonderful influence and tutor for our son. With Nick’s help in Calculus my son has brought his grade up from 37% to a 72%. Not only did Nick help him to understand the math but he has been such a positive person in my son’s life. There has be such a difference is our son’s attitude and outlook on his future. My son has Dyslexia and everything have been a challenge compared to his piers. However, with Nick’s help in Calculus our son is proving to himself that he can do what ever he puts his mind to. Mr. Nick was so professional and committed for helping me in two risk management tasks.
