About Michann (mish-ON)

My first formal introduction was at Wekiva High School where I worked as an algebra tutor. There were many kids in my class who needed extra support and I loved seeing their excitement when they would finish a problem they didn't think they could do before.
I earned my bachelors in aerospace engineering from UCF and have prior experience as an algebra tutor at Wekiva High School.

I will ask about your experience in the topic you want to study and talk about what you feel comfortable with and what you are looking for help with. We can talk about the best time for us to get together and set up some goals that will help you feel accomplished as we work toward them together.
I have worked with high school students, but I also often teach my peers in study groups after class and have helped my friend's kids from time to time. I'm comfortable working with a variety of ages.
Ask me questions! Nothing is too silly. I still ask questions I feel like are silly sometimes and I'm always happy that I did.
I had a very hard time leaving my kids from Wekiva High School behind. I really connected with them and had so much fun helping them learn. One day that was extra special for me was when I was able to present my honors research project to them on artificial gravity and it's impact on humans in space. It was many of their first times being exposed to something like that and the looks of wonder and amazement were so rewarding.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about the time of day you feel the most focused and able to learn. Think about what your goal is and what will make you feel accomplished. Try to come up with short term and long term goals. I can help you with this too.
