About Karen
I have been tutoring both in person and online for over 30 years with great success! I have taught high school and college level math. I can tutor Calculus, Precalculus, Algebra, and Geometry. I have some students who I have tutored for several years through high school and then have come back to see me when they return from college.
I love making a difficult subject easy for students! I love hearing students say, “Now I get it!”
I always have loved helping people understand Math, even when I was a student myself.
I have a Bachelors degree as well as a Masters degree in Math. I have also taught and tutored for over 30 years.

I first like to find out where the student is at - talk about difficulties the student is having. We can then talk about what the student would like to get out of tutoring. Then we develop a plan and get started. Time to feel better about Math!

Perfect! Definitely recommend if you are struggling with any Math material. She uses Jamboards which changed how I take notes and do my homework on my iPad. She takes her time to ensure you understand the material and has helped me understand the why's on each issue that I have had. I'm a returning adult going back to school and so far I'm glad that I have met Karen.

I was struggling with AP Calculus AB and even though I was doing the assigned homework and going to get extra help from my teacher, the concepts were not clicking. Working with Mrs. Dawe changed everything. She was able to present the concepts in a way that finally made sense to me and let me connect the material. She truly wants her students to succeed and is excited when they grasp the material. There’s not a question I’ve had that she cannot answer fully and in a way that I can comprehend. I actually look forward to working with Mrs. Dawe every session. I have had a lot of tutors in the past, and by far Mrs. Dawe is the best tutor I’ve ever had. She is a true professional.
She went over each problem with me, but still allowed me to figure out how to do the problems myself first. Mrs. Dawe also allowed me to go at my own pace and made sure I understood the problem fully before moving on.
Mrs. Dawe is a gem among math tutors. She has this incredible ability to go inside of a student’s mind and undo all the knots in their brain. Whenever I struggled with a subject, I would never feel belittled by her but rather uplifted as she went through each process as many times as I needed. If anyone ever needed a tutor for math, Karen Dawe is the best one.
