About Keesha
I was a classroom teacher pre-Covid for 5.5 years. I taught Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus AB, but I feel more than comfortable freshening up on any courses that come prior.
I have a special love for Geometry and Calculus!
I studied Mathematics and Physics for undergrad and Education for grad school.
A lot of people are scared of math, but that makes it so much more magical when things start to click.
I love math but I also love people just as much and it feels so good to help someone achieve something they never thought they could.

I like to get to know my students a little first to help them feel comfortable! Math is definitely a subject that makes a lot of people very uncomfortable so its especially important to put students at ease as best I can. It's also important to establish goals/outcomes as well as benchmark goals along the way.
I worked at a small charter school for all of my years in the classroom. We had inclusion classrooms which means students with IEPs were rarely pulled out of the classroom and learn alongside their peers.
Most students at the school take Pre-Calculus their senior year, which meant I got a very wide range of feelings and skill levels. So I have a lot of patience.
