About Julia
As a tutor, my job is to help your student gain understanding in the subject they are questionable about. In addition to that, I try to help the student build confidence and gain a love/appreciation for math. I believe that math can be fun and enjoyable. No one is "bad" at math. If you are having issues with math then you simply just hadn't had the right teacher, and I hope I can be the right teacher for you.
I enjoy working with students and teaching a subject I am very passionate about. I have always enjoyed math. The most rewarding aspects about being a tutor is watching the student gain the confidence they need to excel in school.
I have an Associates in General Studies-STEM. I also have a minor in Math.

The first session is for me to gauge what the student seems to be struggling with. It's time for the student and I to get to know each other as well. Each session is for one hour minimum.
I have worked with all ages; from elementary school to college level. I also have experience working with students who have disaabilities.
