About Brianna
I specialize in K-12 mathematics (including algebra 1 and 2), college level algebra, and English. As a tutor, I strive to help the student learn, understand, and develop confidence with the subject material. My tutoring approach is based around getting my students to come to their own conclusions through leading questions and having them give me as much information as they can before I step in. I find that often students know more than they think they do, and encouraging them to work as much of a problem as they can is very beneficial.

Before any tutoring takes place, I meet with parents and their student(s) for a consultation to discuss what they are wanting to accomplish during our time together. These meetings also provide me with the opportunity to hear first hand from the student what they need assistance with. After the consultation I administer a pre-test to the student to assess which topics they have already mastered and which ones we should focus on in sessions.
My experience includes working with students in grades K-12 in Math and English. I have tutored students with ADHD, Dyslexia, and Autism.
