About Ruby

I’m a Biology tutor with over 9 years of experience and hold an MSc in Biotechnology. My greatest passion lies in marine biology, especially the incredible and unique ecosystems found in the deep sea. I am fascinated by hydrothermal vents, where life thrives under extreme conditions. The wonders of bioluminescence and how organisms adapt to such harsh environments never cease to amaze me. Exploring these deep ocean mysteries has taught me about resilience and biodiversity in ways few places on Earth can.
I enjoy sharing this excitement with my students, guiding them to understand not just the facts but the ecological processes that sustain life in these remote areas. Together, we explore how creatures survive where sunlight cannot reach and pressures are immense. The challenges of ocean exploration offer endless lessons in biology and inspire curiosity.
