About Zari
My teaching approach in Chemistry is clear and systematic. I focus on breaking down complex topics into easy-to-understand parts. Organic chemistry is a key area I emphasize, covering nomenclature, functional groups, reaction mechanisms, and isomerism. I help students see how these concepts connect and build upon each other. I pay special attention to making the world of carbon compounds accessible and interesting. Through step-by-step explanations, I guide learners to recognize patterns and apply them confidently in problem-solving. Consistent feedback is an important part of my method, ensuring students know their progress and areas to improve. I work well with learners interested in environmental science and marine biology, supporting their specific goals. Together, we build a strong foundation for organic synthesis and beyond. My lessons aim to boost confidence and foster a deeper understanding of chemistry’s role in the natural world. With patience and clarity, I help students excel and enjoy their learning journey.

I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 7 years of experience and an MPhil in Chemistry. My passion lies at the fascinating crossroads of science and art — specifically, the chemistry involved in preserving cultural heritage. I take a holistic and interdisciplinary approach, combining core chemical principles with art history and conservation science. Together, we explore pigment analysis, understanding how colors in historic paintings were created and how they change over time.
I also focus on material degradation, examining how environmental factors affect artworks and artifacts. Through chemical analysis techniques like spectroscopy and chromatography, we uncover the stories materials tell about their origins and aging processes. Ethical considerations in restoration are a vital part of my teaching, ensuring respect for the artist’s original intent and historical context.
I’ve had the privilege of working with art history students, conservationists, and anyone curious about the science behind preserving human creativity. Using real historical art pieces and case studies, I bring lessons to life with practical examples. My goal is to empower you to understand and contribute to conservation efforts confidently.
I look forward to guiding you through this unique and inspiring journey where science safeguards history.
