About Matthew
My name is Matthew, and I currently live in Peckham. I recently graduated from the University of St Andrews with a First-Class degree in English Literature. I have gained experience over the last year tutoring undergraduate students, helping them with papers, as well as offering a forum to discuss their course materials. Literature is my great passion. I believe that the skills it teaches us, both in terms of analysing texts and in improving self-expression, are fundamental skills in life. A life with reading is all the richer for it, and I want to impart that same enthusiasm and enjoyment to my students.

Lessons will involve engaged discussions of the texts on the course, focusing on developing the student's ability to analyse as well as to articulate independently. Lessons will typically be an hour of intensive discussion, encouraging the active participation of the student. I can also offer help with specific homework assignments that the student might have, in English literature and beyond.
